Nicole turned down Dillon’s long distance apology and admitted to Adam that she loved him. Thanks to Adam borrowing John’s journal, he had a dream where John visited him as a ghost and convinced him get help with his cutting. Now Adam and Nicole are finally together, Dillon’s left Dalton, and Chuck is trying to get Claude to come back and help him.

Parker Pennington stood outside the choir room, holding a microphone as a shaky camera was pointed at him. Parker cleared his throat.

“Are we live?” Parker asked.

The camera shook up and down as Todd nodded.

“Hello, McKinley High School, Parker Pennington here. Ever since the sordid details of the Glee Club’s New Year’s Eve party have got out, the whole school has been buzzing about the rumors. As part of my in-depth journalism series, I plan to go straight to the horses’ mouths and get the truth.”

As Kevin Rhodes walked out of the choir room, Parker shoved the microphone toward his face.

“Kevin, can you tell us how the party that the entire school is buzzing about came to be?” Parker asked.

Kevin nodded. “Sure. See, it was a normal day in Glee Club right before Christmas break started.”

The scene changed to Kevin and the rest of the Glee Club sitting in the choir room.

Nicole walked in, sporting short, spiky, black hair and multiple facial piercings. She was dressed in an oversized flannel shirt and cargo khakis. She took her seat behind Kevin.

Nicole was having a dark phase, just like Lana because as you know, Lana went nuts and Nicole was being beat by her boyfriend at the time, Kevin narrated.

Kevin looked over at Lana, who was sitting there, arms crossed, and dressed head-to-toe in gothic garb, glaring.

Miles had mentioned a party for New Years, but he strictly wanted to avoid alcohol, Kevin continued.

“Let’s have a math party,” Nicole said.

“Nerd,” Kevin replied.

“No math parties,” Miles said.

“I really don’t wanna get drunk and cheat on James again,” Jaxon said.

“That’s why I said no alcohol,” Miles replied.

“Oh, woest me!” Lana exclaimed dramatically as she scribbled in her journal. “What a life, what a dagger in my heart! You cast your darkness upon me, killing my light! Lies, lies, lies! Oh mommy dearest, you are but a ruse and a thorn in my side! Drown in my blood, parents! Nurturers of lies!”

“What are you doing?” Will asked.

“I’m writing my dark-girl poetry,” Lana said. “It’s the new me, Mr. Schue. I also started to bite the heads off bats.”

“And she worships Satan,” Rose said.

“Yep, I worship Satan,” Lana said. “Ever wondered what happened to the missing Femme Fatales? Sacrificed them.”

“So this super wild and crazy party is a go?” Miles asked.

“And that is how it all started,” Kevin said, as the scene faded back to the hallway.

“That is not what happened,” Miles said, stopping in the middle of the hallway as he walked past the choir room.

Parker shoved the microphone toward Miles. “Please, Miles Larson, tell the people what really happened.”

“Well, he was telling the truth when he said that it was a normal school day before Christmas break,” Miles said. “But that’s about all that was true.”

The scene faded back into the choir room as New Directions sat around.

“Are we gonna have another New Year’s party?” Evan asked. “I wanna get my party on.”

Taylor and I were frantically making out, Miles narrated. Lana was over in the corner, crying about how her life sucks so bad. Adam was cutting himself, and poor Nicole was applying make-up to cover her bruises.

Evan cleared his throat. “Miles?”

“Why are you asking me?” Miles asked. “Do I look like the co-captain? You might wanna ask Jaxon because the other co-captain is in a fetal position, throwing herself a pity party.”

“I guess,” Jaxon said.

“Great,” Evan said. “Claude and I will be there with bells on.”

“Are you two cows?” Kevin asked. “Is that why you have bells on?”

Miles patted Kevin on the head. “Poor, simple Kevin. I feel for you, buddy. Hang in there, you’ll get there soon.”

Out of nowhere, a paper airplane hit Taylor in the back of the head. Miles stood up, looking around.

“Who threw that? Who would force me to defend the honor of my fair maiden?” Miles asked.

Rose laughed. “What is this? The fifteen hundreds?”

“So, recap—party, yes or no?” Evan asked.

“Of course,” Miles said. “But I must stress—no alcohol. I don’t wanna end up kissing Claude or something.”

“And that is what really happened,” Miles said as the scene faded back into the hallway.

Parker stood there, looking confused. “I don’t know what to say. Two different versions of events. Who do I believe? I have to have credible sources.”

“You want the truth?” Nicole asked. “I’m the person to go to for that. Both these dunderheads are wrong about what really happened.”

“Please tell, Nicole,” Parker said as he shoved the microphone in his fellow Brainiacs Club member’s face.

Once again, the scene faded to the choir room as Nicole took her turn retelling the events.

Evan did encourage having another New Year’s Eve party, that much is true, Nicole narrated. And Miles was making out with Taylor, however he was too busy to be disturbed. Lana wasn’t crying in the corner in the fetal position, she was in her regular seat, and hadn’t even learned the truth about her family yet. All was completely normal.

“Are we gonna have a New Year’s Eve party this year?” Evan asked.

“I don’t know,” Jaxon said. “Last year was pretty crazy. Especially for Miles and what he went through.”

“Miles is too preoccupied to care,” Hallie said.

“Maybe it’s best we don’t have alcohol this year,” Jaxon said.

“Agreed,” Evan replied. “It’s been nothing but trouble.”

“The first year, you and I had sex,” Jaxon added. “The second year, Miles decides to question his sexuality and we go on duty to fix the damages the entire next week.”

“So, we agree alcohol is a bad idea?” Evan asked.

“Miles?” Jaxon asked.

Miles gave a thumbs up, not breaking his kiss with Taylor.

“Okay, now that is just getting gross,” Rose said.

“Poke them with a stick,” Kevin said.

“I think they might wanna come up for air sometime soon,” Nicole said. “I think Taylor is turning blue.”

“Okay, so the Super Fly Mega Crazy New Year’s Eve Extravaganza is a go,” Evan said, smiling.

“And that is what reallyhappened,” Nicole said.

“Eh, maybe I exaggerated,” Miles said.

“What are you even doing here?” Nicole asked. “You quit Glee Club.”

“I was merely walking down the hall,” Miles said. “Last time I checked, it was not a national incident.”

“Then can you just keep walking?” Nicole asked. “The fact that you’re still hanging around the choir room makes me uncomfortable, especially knowing that Lana is still in there and she’s still reeling from your outburst the other day.”

“Imagine that,” Miles said. “Nicole Martin has a backbone after all.”

“You’d be surprised at what you’d learn about me if you ever gave me the time of day,” Nicole replied.

“Tell your boyfriend that I will see him after class,” Miles said as he started to walk away.

“Actually, Adam and I were going to Fro-Zone for their all you can eat, build it yourself frozen yogurt bar after school. Maybe you two can hang out another afternoon?”

Miles didn’t turn around as he replied. “Some other time then, I guess.”

“Gosh,” Honey said as she walked out of the choir room and stood beside Nicole. “A cold front just moved in. Be careful not to get frostbitten.”

Lucas walked down the hall, trying to make it past Parker Pennington without being noticed. He sighed as he realized he failed and Parker hurried over, microphone extended.

“So it is true, Lucas?” Parker asked. “Are you and Honey Berry having issues? Did she really cheat on you?”

“Those are all rumors,” Lucas said. “Now get that camera out of my face.”

“You seem touchy,” Parker said. “Perhaps some truth to those rumors, after all?”

“Look,” Lucas said. “You want answers, huh? You want a show? Then here’s your show.”

“Go on,” Parker said, pushing the microphone toward Lucas.

Lucas began to dance as he pressed a button on his phone and music began to play. Parker looked taken aback, surprised by Lucas’ sudden actions.

“Saturday stepping into the club,” Lucas sang, pushing the microphone away. “The music makes me wanna tell the DJ, turn it up. I feel the energy all around and my body can't stop moving to the sound. But I can tell that you're watching me and you're probably gonna write what you didn't see. Well I just need a little space to breathe. Can you please respect my privacy? Why can't you just let me do the things I wanna do? I just wanna be me. I don't understand, why would you wanna bring me down? I'm only having fun. I'm gonna live my life but not the way you want me to.”

Lucas jumped up on a bench and began to dance as Todd swung the camera around to focus on him.

“I'm tired of rumors starting, I'm sick of being followed. I'm tired of people lying, saying what they want about me. Why can't they back up off me? Why can't they let me live? I'm gonna do it my way, take this for just what it is. Here we are back up in the club, people taking pictures. Don't you think they get enough? I just wanna be all over the floor and throw my hands up in the air to a beat like what? I've gotta say respectfully, I would like it if you take the cameras off of me. ‘Cause I just want a little room to breathe. Can you please respect my privacy?”

Lucas leapt into the air, landing on one foot and twirling.

“Why can't you just let me do the things I wanna do? I just wanna be me. I don't understand, why would you wanna bring me down? I'm only having fun. I'm gonna live my life but not the way you want me to. I'm tired of rumors starting. I'm sick of being followed. I'm tired of people lying, saying what they want about me. Why can't they back up off me? Why can't they let me live? I'm gonna do it my way, take this for just what it is. I just need to free my mind, mind. Just wanna dance and have a good time, good time. I'm tired of rumors, rumors. Followed, followed, followed, followed, followed, followed, what? They follow me. Why can't they, they, they, th-th-they let me live, live? Take this for just what it is.”

Lucas jumped back up on the bench and began to dance as Todd struggled to follow him.

“I'm tired of rumors starting. I'm sick of being followed. I'm tired of people lying, saying what they want about me. Why can't they back up off me? Why can't they let me live? I'm gonna do it my way, take this for just what it is. I'm tired of rumors starting. I'm sick of being followed. I'm tired of people lying, saying what they want about me. Why can't they back up off me? Why can't they let me live? I'm gonna do it my way, take this for just what it is.”

As Lucas jumped off the bench and grabbed his backpack in one motion, he turned to the camera and covered the lens with his hand.

“Show’s over,” Lucas said. “No comment.”

Aldy sighed as he walked through the courtyard, that nerdy reporter boy following him around.

“Aldy!” Parker called. “Alden ‘Aldy’ Williams! Wait up!”

Aldy jerked around, glaring at Parker. “Never call me Alden, got it?”

Parker gulped as he eased closer and put the microphone in Aldy’s face.

“Rumor has it that you and Evan Marx nearly got arrested for a prank gone wrong New Year’s Eve night,” Parker said. “Care to respond?”

“Yeah,” Aldy said. “It’s true, we nearly got busted. But those stupid little cops were panicking over nothing.”

“Please,” Parker said. “Tell us what happened.”

Well, Aldy narrated as the scene faded to outside Claude’s house. The loud music from inside the house could still be heard out on the lawn as Evan and I carefully snuck around to Evan’s car and opened the trunk. We gazed down at the most glorious firework ever known to man. La Grande Bang, a firework so loud, so powerful, so dangerous, it is illegal in the USA. I had Lucas pick it up and smuggle it in when he returned from Mexico after Christmas break.

“This is epic,” Evan said, running his hand over a firework the size of a milk crate.

“Now for the ultimate dare,” Aldy said. “I dare you to take this to the middle of the road and light it.”

“Me?” Evan said. “Surely you’d be better suited to this than me. You know, history of delinquency and all.”

“I dared you,” Aldy said. “You got to. It’s like the law of truth or dare.”

“If this goes wrong, you’re not gonna bail on me and let me take the fall are you? I don’t think I can handle jail. I’m too delicate.”

Aldy smiled. I have your back. Stop being such a wuss, Evan.”

Evan struggled to lift the firework out of the trunk. Aldy pushed him aside.

“Let a real man do this,” he said.

“Thank you,” Evan said. “You’re so much stronger than me.”

Aldy carried the firework to the road and sat it down. He pulled out an American flag Zippo lighter and handed it to Evan.

“Now’s your chance,” Aldy said. “Time to become a real man, Evan.”

Evan took the lighter and nodded. “I can do this.”

Evan shakily reached toward the firework, flicking open the Zippo and striking the flame. He put it to the fuse and squinted as he lit the fuse. He ran over to join Aldy as the fuse began to shoot sparks.

“Time for la grande bang,” Aldy said with a smile. However, his smile quickly faded when he saw the car coming down the road, headed for the firework.

“Do something,” Aldy said.

Evan started toward the firework, arms outstretched, ready to grab it and move it.

“No!” Aldy yelled. “You’ll blow your arms off, dipweed!”

“Then what do I do?” Evan asked, panicked.

“Run,” Aldy said as they took off toward a bunch of bushes and hid. No sooner than they were in place, the firework exploded. The blinding flash of light caused the car to swerve, going into a ditch.

“Oh no,” Evan said. “We’re so f—”

“Don’t you even think it!” Aldy said. “This wasn’t us, Evan. We weren’t even here!”

Evan’s face went pale as he heard police sirens. “Uh-oh.”

The scene faded back to the McKinley courtyard as Aldy faced Parker.

“Then Evan begged the cop to let us go,” Aldy said. “He got down on the ground, crying and begging the cop. It was sad, but he got us out of trouble.”

“That’s not what happened,” Evan said, standing on the steps, his backpack over his shoulder.

“Give us the real scoop,” Parker said, holding the microphone toward Evan.

I was watching Taylor do some karaoke, Evan narrated as the scene changed to Claude’s living room. She was singing a Pussycat Dolls’ song if I remember correctly.

“All them other models bottling, like mama's bottle tasty,” Taylor sang as she used the microphone stand as a stripper pole. “If you put my bottle, all the models gonna hate me. When my bottle pop, when my bottle pop, when my bottle pop, when my bottle pop shake me. When my bottle pop, when my bottle pop, when my bottle pop , when my bottle pop shake me.”

Evan stood off to the side, drinking a green apple Jones soda as he watched Taylor perform. Claude stood beside him, drinking something from a Solo cup.

“Please tell me that’s not something alcoholic,” Eva said.

“Maybe,” Claude said, winking. “You should be happy. I drink, I get horny.”

“Where’d you get it?” Evan asked.

“I broke into my parent’s liquor cabinet,” Claude said. “They think if they hide the keys to all the good stuff, I won’t get into it. I’ve fooled them, though. I have spare keys to everything.”

“Every girl dreams of herself in pearls,” Taylor sang. “Wanna be the fast driver of a shiny car. But the good girls suddenly the bad girls just because they wanna be a movie star. When my bottle pop, when my bottle pop, when my bottle pop, when my bottle pop shake me. When my bottle pop, when my bottle pop, when my bottle pop, when my bottle pop shake me.”

Aldy approached Evan, getting close to his ear where Claude couldn’t hear.

“I finally thought of that dare,” Aldy said. “Follow me outside.”

“Every girl feels this world belongs to her,” Taylor sang. “No matter who make her purr she's a super star. Now the worry is us, my girl with curves that'll make you smell the burn when her bottle pops. When my bottle pop, when my bottle pop, when my bottle pop, when my bottle pop shake me. When my bottle pop, when my bottle pop, when my bottle pop, when my bottle pop shake me.”

“Is this something I’m gonna regret?” Evan asked.

Aldy smiled. “Never know if you don’t hurry.”

“You turn me on, you shake me up, so don't cha wanna take me?” Taylor sang. “Just because I'm the chosen one, oh them models gonna hate me. All them other models bottling like mama's bottle tasty. If you put my bottle all the models gonna hate me.”

“Alright,” Evan said. “I’ll bite.”

So Aldy and I headed outside as Taylor finished her song, Evan narrated. “When we got outside, Aldy took a tarp off the back of his truck and revealed a firework the size of television. It was named La Grande Bang and apparently, it was illegal here in the Unites States. Apparently, Aldy and Lucas orchestrated a plot to smuggle it back with Lucas after Christmas.

“What are you gonna do with it?” Evan asked.

“We’re gonna stick this in the middle of the road,” Aldy said. “And you’re gonna light it since this is your dare.”

Aldy carried the firework to the road and sat it down. He pulled out an American flag Zippo lighter and handed it to Evan.

“Now’s your chance,” Aldy said. “Prove you got a pair, Evan.”

Evan took the lighter and shakily reached toward the firework, flicking open the Zippo and striking the flame. He put it to the fuse and squinted as he tried to light the fuse. I didn’t seem to want to light. Aldy walked over and snatched the lighter from Evan’s hand.

“Let me do this, dipweed,” Aldy said. "You can't do anything right."

Aldy lit the fuse, smiling as the fuse began to shoot sparks.

“Time for la grande bang,” Aldy said with a smile. However, his smile quickly faded when he saw the car coming down the road, headed for the firework.

“Do something,” Evan said.

“Move it,” Aldy ordered. “I would think you have a good thirty seconds before the fuse burns down."

“And what, blow my arms off? Are you kidding me?” Evan asked. “You want it moved, move it yourself. It was your bright idea!”

“Run,” Aldy said as they took off toward a bunch of bushes and hid. No sooner than they were in place, the firework exploded. The blinding flash of light caused the car to swerve, going into a ditch.

“Oh no,” Aldy said. “I’m so f—”

“What were you thinking?” Evan said, his face going pale as he heard police sirens.

“Uh-oh,” Aldy said. “I’m on probation! I’ll go to jail. Evan, you have to figure something out. I refuse to go to jail!”

“I’ll figure something out,” Evan said.

The scene faded back to the McKinley courtyard as Aldy stood with his arms crossed, listening to Evan recounting the actual events.

“So I told the cop that we were shooting fireworks and a stray spark lit the rest of the fireworks on fire, causing the giant explosion,” Evan said. “Luckily, he believed us. After that, we stopped playing truth or dare and started playing spin-the-bottle.”

“I see,” Parker said. “Thanks for your time, gentleman.”

The next day, before Glee Club, Ana sighed as she made her way toward her locker and saw Parker waiting for her there.

“Can you move please?” Ana asked, lowering her backpack from her back.

“Anastasia Watson, current Cheerios co-captain and second-in-command HBIC at McKinley high school,” Parker said.

“What do you want?” Ana asked, rolling her eyes. “And it’s Ana.”

“The details of what really went down at Glee Club’s out of control party are still pretty sketchy. No one’s told me about all the cheating and lip-locks that went down and I figured, being the right hand girl to Taylor Atkinson, reigning Queen Bee, that kind of gossip would be your thing.”

“Who are your sources?” Ana asked. “They are way out of the loop. Taylor and I are no longer friends.”

“But just last week you were a part of a slushie incident against Aldy Williams led by none other than Taylor Atkinson,” Parker replied.

“Because Taylor was blackmailing me into helping her carry out her evil plans,” Ana said. “But I got tired of being blackmailed into being her lap dog, so I told her off and we’re no longer speaking. In fact, Taylor has it out for me.”

“And what started this Ana-Taylor feud?” Parker asked.

Ana sighed. “It all started at the New Year’s Eve party.”

As Ana recanted the events, the scene faded into Claude’s living room as most of New Directions sat around in a circle, a bottle lying in the middle of the circle.

“Surely you’re not chickening out,” Miles said, goading Ana.

Miles was all talk, Ana narrated. As always, in fact. I didn’t really wanna play, but he was calling me out. I thought that being my friend, Taylor would defend me. But no, she was laughing at me

“I just don’t like guys,” Ana said. “I know that I’ll spin the bottle and it will land on someone like Aldy, God forbid."

“Hey,” Aldy said, offended.

“Sorry,” Ana said. “But your sexism makes you horribly unattractive.”

“Don’t be a chicken,” Taylor said. “Bawk, bawk, bawk”

“Stop it, Taylor,” Ana said, angrily spinning the bottle so hard that it wobbled. When it landed on Miles, Taylor look anything but thrilled.

“Score!” Miles said.

I knew that kissing Miles would be the ultimate revenge on Taylor for her laughing and taunting, so I decided to go for it, Ana continued.

Ana leaned forward, grabbing Miles by the collar as she pressed her lips to his. Miles smiled slightly as Ana parted her mouth, going for tongue.

“Get your greedy, lady loving lips off my man!” Taylor said, yanking Miles away, mid-kiss.

“What?” Taylor asked. “Can’t handle a little spin the bottle?”

“You bitch,” Taylor said, throwing her drink on Ana. Ana shrieked as she was covered in cream soda.

It was cold and sticky, Ana narrated. I tried to get up and head to the bathroom, but Taylor jumped me.

The scene faded back to McKinley as Ana and Parker stood in the hallway. Ana shrugged her shoulders.

“She said that she would forgive me and wouldn’t ruin my reputation if I did what she said and didn’t question her,” Ana explained. “But if I refused to do that, I would have her as an enemy and she would destroy my reputation, which would be a fate worse than death.”

“That is so not what happened!” Taylor said. “Don’t you make me into the villain here, Watson.”

Ana turned to face Taylor, who stood behind her, her arms crossed. She glared at Ana angrily.

“Here’s what really happened, AV Geek,” Taylor said. “Better get to recording because I’m only going over this once.”

The scene faded back to Claude’s living room as once again, most of New Directions were sitting in a circle around an empty Jones soda bottle.

“I don’t wanna do this,” Ana said.

“What, are you scared of kissing a boy?” Aldy asked. “Don’t be scared, Ana. Kissing a boy might do you some good. You might like it.”

“As if,” Ana said.

“Then spin the bottle,” Miles said. “It’s your turn. You won the first turn by guessing the number closest to the one in Claude’s head.”

Ana shakily reached toward the bottle and spun it. She frowned as it landed on Miles.

“Well, what do you know?” Miles said. “Looks like you gotta kiss me.”

“As if,” Ana said.

“It’s the rules,” Miles said as he leaned forward and tried to kiss Ana. Their lips touched, but as Miles tried to slip her tongue, Ana pulled away.

“That’s right, you better get off my man,” Taylor said.

Ana tried to stand up, but spilled her drink in her lap. She shrieked.

“Taylor!” Ana shouted. “Why did you do that?”

“I didn’t,” Taylor said. "I was over here, minding my own business, Ana dear."

Ana got up and started to storm off, Taylor chasing after her.

“Ana! Come back!” Taylor called after her.

“So there you have it,” Taylor said as the scene faded back to the present. “That horse face is lying.”

“I am not,” Ana protested. “You’re the one who’s lying. You know it didn’t happen like that.”

“The HBIC has spoken,” Taylor said.

“Well you got one part of that right,” Ana said. “You are a bitch, Taylor. The in charge part is debatable.”

“Do you have any idea just how dangerous to your reputation it will be to make an enemy of me?” Taylor said. “This is just our junior year, Ana. I still have one more year to make your life a living hell.”

“Bring it,” Ana said as she walked away.

“You did this to yourself!” Taylor called after her. “I will destroy you!”

“Five minutes till the curtain goes up and how I hate myself for thinking of you,” Ana sang as she walked down the hall. “So in the past but the memory lasts, of how you hated everything that I do. You never paid attention to dreams I'd mention. You'd just go out your way to simply ignore. You say I'm never gonna make it. Bring your feet back down to the floor, but no more. Now my band is playing, I hear you saying ‘ain't that the girl that I used to know?’ My fans are screaming, no I'm not dreaming. Now I don't search for your face in my sold out crowd anymore. Whoa, whoa, yeah. Yeah, that's my song on the radio. Now that I'm flying, you'll be the one that's saying ‘oh, ain't that the girl that I used to know?’”

Ana turned down another hallway and started toward the auditorium.

“So count it off, yeah, I'm ready to rock and there's no place on earth that I'd rather be. Center stage, and the band starts to play, and the entire world is feeling the heat. But I don't feel that pressure, it's so familiar. I ran this scene a million times in my head. I took the pain you caused me and I put it in a song instead, instead.

Ana opened the door to the auditorium and walked down the aisles, singing, as she made her way to the stage.

“You want your name on the backstage listing. You really think I would? You made me laugh, what you thinking about? Security will just show you the way out, whoa oh, girl that I used to know. My fans are screaming, no I'm not dreaming. Now I don't search for your face in my sold out crowd anymore. Whoa, whoa, yeah. Yeah, that's my song on the radio. Now that I'm flying, you'll be the one that's saying ‘oh, ain't that the girl I used to know?’”

As Ana’s song ended, she looked back at Taylor, who was entering the auditorium. She looked away quickly and took her seat beside Natasha.

____________________________________________________________

Miles and Taylor walked onstage as the rest of New Directions sat out in the seats, watching intently. Miles walked to the microphone.

“So, Mr. Schue, this is Taylor auditioning for a solo or duet at Regionals,” Miles said as he adjusted the microphone stand. "It doesn't mean I am back in Glee Club, because I still cannot bring myself to go back in there and pretend everything is okay in that choir room, because it isn't. It's just Taylor and I had been working on this prior to my decision to quit and she didn't have time to work this out with someone else. I'm just trying to be a good boyfriend."

“I understand,” Will said. "Proceed."

“My first kiss went a little like this,” Miles sang. “Mwah and twist, mwah mwah and twist.”

“Well my first kiss went a little like this,” Taylor sang. “Mwah and twist, mwah mwah and twist.”

“I said no more teachers and no more books,” Miles rapped. “I got a kiss under the bleachers hoping that nobody looked. Lips like licorice, tongue like candy. Excuse me miss, but can I get you out your panties?”

Will’s mouth dropped open as he looked at Sue, who shook her head.

“Vile,” Sue said.

“Excuse me,” Parker said, appearing beside Jaxon, crouching down to get on his level as he sat in his seat. “This expose is airing tomorrow and I still don’t have some of the events straight so I can help separate the truth from rumor. I know that being the outstanding and mature leader of Glee Club, you’d be my best choice for all the complete and honest details.”

Jaxon thought for a moment. “Sure. And once I do, this is over? And the rumors will die down?”

“You have my word,” Parker said.

“In the back of the car, on the way to the bar, I got you on my lips,” Miles sang. “I got you on my lips at the foot of the stairs, with my fingers in your hair, baby this is it.”

“Okay then,” Jaxon said, getting up. “I’ll tell you what really happened.”

“She won't ever get enough once she gets a little touch,” Miles and Taylor sang. “If I had it my way, you know that I'd make her say oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-ooh, oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-ooh. She won't ever get enough once she gets a little touch. If I had it my way, you know that I'd make her say oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-ooh, oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-ooh.”

Jaxon and Parker walked off to the side aisle as Parker held the microphone to Jaxon’s face.

“What really happened was, after Evan and Aldy almost got arrested, we decided to put an end to truth or dare, which was fine because none of us could think of any good dares except the one that almost landed Evan and Aldy behind bars. So Evan finished his Jones soda and went to throw the bottle away and we had an idea: spin the bottle.”

“My first kiss went a little like this,”Taylor sang.

The scene faded back to Claude’s living room as almost everyone sat around in a giant circle, Evan’s empty Jones soda bottle in the middle.

“Ana goes first,” Miles said. “She won the guessing game.”

“I think I wanna sit out,” Ana said. “I don’t wanna kiss a guy, no offense fellas.”

“Of course you wanna kiss me,” Aldy said. “Every girl does. And I got the magic to turn a lesbian straight.”

Ana laughed. “As if, pig.”

“I said no more sailors and no more soldiers,” Miles rapped, his performance from Glee Club permeating the flashback to become background music. “With your name in a heart tattooed upon their shoulders. Kisses like whiskey, it gets me drunk and I wake up in the morning with the taste of your tongue.”

“You’re not gonna chicken out, are you?” Taylor asked.

“She doesn’t have to play,” Jaxon said.

“I’m not chickening out,” Ana said, looking at Taylor and giving her a look that showed that she accepted her challenge. “You better hope it doesn’t land on your boyfriend.”

Taylor glared at Ana. “Just spin it.”

Ana carefully spun the bottle, smiling slightly as it landed on Miles.

“Well, what do you know?” Ana asked. “Looks like I’ll be kissing your boyfriend, after all, Taylor. Bet you wished I was chicken now, hmm?”

Taylor gritted her teeth as Ana pulled Miles closer, pressing her lips to his. She kissed him for a bit too long, opening her mouth to allow Miles to slip her tongue as her hand ran down to cup Miles’s pec. Taylor grabbed the back of Miles’ collar and yanked him away from Ana.

“Keep your grubby lips off my man,” Taylor said.

“Oh, they’re not grubby,” Ana said smugly. “This is flawlessly applied Fantasy Candy Apple lipstick. One tube costs seventy bucks. That's right, I left money all over your man’s lips.”

“You bitch,” Taylor said, flinging her drink onto Ana, who shrieked.

Ana jumped up. “This dress is Dior!”

“Now it’s a hot mess, just like you,” Taylor said.

“In the back of the car, on the way to the bar, I got you on my lips,” Miles sang in the background. “I got you on my lips at the foot of the stairs, with my fingers in your hair, baby this is it.”

“She won't ever get enough once she gets a little touch,” Miles and Taylor sang in the background.

Ana grabbed Taylor and pulled her to her feet as the two of them began to scuffle. Claude jumped up and pushed himself between them.

“You two wanna fight? Then outside, both of you,” Claude said. “You’re out!”

The whole situation was awkward, Jaxon narrated. But, we decided to carry on without them so that the whole night’s fun wasn’t a bust. Well, everyone except Miles, who was forced to bail when Taylor was thrown out. Apparently, her had to pull Taylor apart in the middle of the street.

“Who’s next?” Jaxon asked.

“I am,” Evan said. “It’s clockwise from Ana, or where Ana was sitting before she got thrown out.”

Evan leaned forward and spun the bottle. He felt his heart drop when the bottle landed on Aldy.

“You don’t have to,” Evan said.

“It’s the rules,” Aldy said. “I’m not a chicken. One little kiss during a stupid party game doesn’t make me gay.”

Evan was surprised as Aldy leaned forward and pressed his lips to Evan’s. Evan gasped as Aldy pulled away.

“Was it good for you?” Aldy joked.

“In the back of the car, on the way to the bar, I got you on my lips,” Miles sang in the background. “I got you on my lips at the foot of the stairs, with my fingers in your hair, baby this is it.”

Lana was the next to spin the bottle, Jaxon narrated. It landed on Bella.

Lana and Bella leaned forward, kissing one another sweetly. Lana bit her lip as Bella pulled away. Hallie reached down and spun the bottle, surprised when it landed on Honey. Honey laughed as she leaned forward and kissed Hallie. Lana didn’t look too happy as the two shared a giggly kiss.

“I think I should go,” Lana said. “I’m still dealing with the whole family thing.”

Jaxon and Hallie watched as Lana jumped up and ran to the door. Jaxon started to get up, but Hallie pulled him back down.

“Lana likes to deal in private,” Hallie said. “Give her a little while.”

Jaxon nodded as he reached down and spun the bottle. Chuck smiled as it landed on him. He pulled Jaxon close, kissing him deeply. Jaxon was surprised when Chuck slipped him tongue.

“That looks fun,” Monique mused. “I kinda wanna kiss a girl. I mean, I’m not a lesbian but that Katy Perry song makes it sound fun.”

“You taste like applesauce,” Jaxon joked.

“Face it, even bi-curious guys want to kiss Jaxon Pierce,” Chuck said. “I see what Claude went on and on about now.”

“Okay, you had your fun,” James said, pulling Jaxon to him. “Enough kissing my man, okay? See? Mine, all mine. Hands off, guys."

“And that was all it was,” Jaxon said to Parker as the scene faded back to the auditorium. “A simple game of truth of dare was all. We were just a bunch of teenagers having fun. There was no cheating, all our boyfriends and girlfriends were in on it or okay with it. Only Nicole, Rose, and Kevin sat out the whole game.”

“She won't ever get enough once she gets a little touch,” Taylor and Miles sang. “If I had it my way, you know that I'd make her say oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-ooh, oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-ooh. She won't ever get enough once she gets a little touch. If I had it my way, you know that I'd make her say oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-ooh, oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-ooh. She won't ever get enough once she gets a little touch. If I had it my way, you know that I'd make her say.”

“The only question left is, why did Lana really leave?” Parker asked.

“I would assume that she was still reeling from the truth about her parents and Hallie and Honey’s kiss kind of upset her,” Jaxon said.

Adam looked at Jaxon and Parker as they talked. He turned away, thinking back. The scene faded to his house on New Year’s Eve night, after the party.

Adam opened the front door and sat his keys on the table by the door. He pulled off his jacket and put in on the coatrack. He looked on the sofa, wondering if he might see Lana lying there. When he saw the sofa was empty, he started upstairs.

“You come to me with scars on your wrist,” Adam sang as he climbed the stairs. “You tell me this will be the last night feeling like this. I just came to say goodbye. I didn't want you to see me cry, I'm fine but I know it's a lie.”

Adam slowly eased open Lana’s door, looking inside. She was lying there, asleep, curled up on her bed, the covers pushed to the foot. Her diary was open and it appeared she had fallen asleep while writing.

“This is the last night you'll spend alone,” Adam sang as he moved her diary to the table and pulled the covers over Lana. “Look me in the eyes so I know you know. I'm everywhere you want me to be. The last night you'll spend alone. I'll wrap you in my arms and I won't let go. I'm everything you need me to be.”

Adam went to close Lana’s diary and saw what she had written.

Despite dating the girl of my dreams, staying with a much more accepting family,
being away from my own, and even getting a kiss from my one-time secret crush,
I still wish that I wasn’t alive anymore.

Adam closed the diary and put it back in its actual hiding place, the drawer in her bedside table.

“Your parents say everything is your fault, but they don't know you like I know you,” Adam continued singing as he watched Lana for a moment. “They don't know you at all. I'm so sick of when they say it's just a phase, you'll be okay, you're fine but I know it's a lie. This is the last night you'll spend alone. Look me in the eyes so I know you know. I'm everywhere you want me to be. The last night you'll spend alone. I'll wrap you in my arms and I won't let go. I'm everything you need me to be. The last night away from me.”

Adam walked out of Lana’s room and walked to his own. He sat down on the bed, thinking.

“The night is so long when everything's wrong,” Adam sang. “If you give me your hand I will help you hold on tonight, tonight. This is the last night you'll spend alone. Look me in the eyes so I know you know. I'm everywhere you want me to be. The last night you'll spend alone. I'll wrap you in my arms and I won't let go. I'm everything you need me to be. I won't let you say goodbye, I'll be your reason why. The last night away from me, away from me.”

Adam shook his head, returning to the present, sitting in the auditorium.

“Oh my gosh,” Adam said. “The whole rooftop thing—it started that night. I failed her.”

Jaxon made his way back from football practice, still wearing his uniform. As he passed by the choir room, he heard James playing the piano. He stopped in the doorway and listened.

“Some people tell me, that you're not my kind,” James sang. “And I believe them, but I can't get you out of my mind. Some people tell me that I should stay away. Maybe I will, some other day. ‘Cause it feels right and it feels good and I don't do always that I should. And I know what makes me happy and in my heart you're it exactly.”

Jaxon listened closely, propping in the door frame.

“I don't wanna do right, I just want you tonight. Not just only in my dreams. Save my best behavior, for a little later ‘cause I'm only seventeen. Think I made my mind up, I got time to grow up, face responsibility. Living in the moment, keeping my heart open while I'm only seventeen, only seventeen. I'll learn my lessons, and I'll make mistakes. And if I get burned, it'll be my heart to break. It isn't easy, hearing what they say. Sometimes you've got to take a leap of faith.”

Jaxon looked down at the floor, thinking.

“’Cause it feels right and it feels good and I'm not gonna do something stupid. Just this once, I wanna feel like I can do what I want when I hold tight. I don't wanna do right, I just want you tonight. Not just only in my dreams. Save my best behavior, for a little later ‘Cause I'm only seventeen. Think I made my mind up, I got time to grow up, face responsibility. Living in the moment, keeping my heart open while I'm only seventeen, only seventeen. Anyone who's ever been in love has got to know what it means to have a dream and no one can say anything to change my mind, no, not this time. Baby, got time to grow up, to face responsibility, hoping, open, ‘cause I’m only seventeen.”

“Are you having doubts about us? About our marriage?” Jaxon asked, walking into the choir room.

“No,” James said. “I just sometimes wonder if you have doubts about me. Because you’re eighteen. You’re an adult now and I just turned seventeen.”

“The age doesn’t matter,” Jaxon said. “It’s legal and we’re in love and we know we want to be together.”

“So you don’t think that I’m too immature to marry?” James asked.

“No,” Jaxon said. “You’re very mature, James. And I love you more than anything in this world. Trust me, if your age is your issue, you’re not gonna be seventeen forever.”

“I guess,” James said, trying to smile.

“You were young, and so am I,” Jaxon sang. “And this is wrong, but who am I to judge? I feel like heaven when we touch. I guess, for me this is enough.”

“We're one mistake for being together,” Jaxon and James sang as Jaxon took James’ hand and pulled him up to join him. “Let's not ask why it's not right. You won't be seventeen forever and we can get away with this tonight.

“You are young and I am scared,” Jaxon sang as he pulled James closer. “You’re wise beyond your years but I don’t care.”

“And I can feel your heartbeat,”James sang. “You know exactly where to take me.”

“We're one mistake for being together,” Jaxon and James sang. “Let's not ask why it's not right. You won't be seventeen forever and we can get away with this tonight.”

“Will you remember me?” Jaxon sang. “You ask me as I leave. Remember what I said?”

“Oh how could I, oh how could I forget?”James sang.

“We're one mistake for being together,” Jaxon and James sang. “Let's not ask why it's not right. You won't be seventeen forever and we can get away with this tonight. We're one mistake for being together. Let's not ask why it's not right. You won't be seventeen forever and we can get away with this tonight.”

Jaxon laughed as he and James tumbled back and landed on the floor. He looked up as James laid on top of him, looking deep into his blue eyes.

“I love you so much,” Jaxon said, putting his hands on both sides of James’ face and pulling him in for a deep, romantic kiss.

The next day, Glee Club sat in the choir room, watching Parker’s report on the school station.

“And that is the truth,” Parker said. “This is Parker Pennington and this has been Rumor Patrol.”

“At least he was nice enough to set the record straight,” Ana said.

“Yeah, for ratings,” Honey replied.

“Well, looks like we learned our lesson,” Jaxon said. “No more spin the bottle or truth or dare.”

“Well,” Evan said. “Maybe once more.”

Evan motioned to the band as they began to play. Evan began to dance in the middle of the choir room.

“I got a secret, I'm telling everyone,” Evan sang. “Don't wanna keep it, I wanna play dumb. I made a promise I think I'm ready to break. It's just a question there's nothing wrong or right but your intentions keep you up all night. You play with fire, you need a way to escape.”

“But when the lights go out, go out,” Honey and Ana sang as they danced to the middle of the choir room to join Evan. “We are just beginning and all around, all eyes are looking down. Spin the bottle round and round and round and round.”

“Truth!”New Directions sang as they joined in.

“Last kiss on the tip of your lips, were they his?” Claudesang.

“Talk talk,”New Directions sang.

“Was your heart beat beating?” Claudesang.

“Dare!”New Directions sang.

“Time's up, are you ready or not?”Bella sang

“T-t-talk,”New Directions sang.

“So don't stop when you get that feeling now, now,”Bella sang.

“Talk talk,”New Directions sang.

“Was your heart beat beating now, now?”Claude and Bella sang.

“It’s just a game,”Ana sang.

“I feel uneasy, I feel a little scared,” James sang. “I see the danger in being unprepared. I try to hide it before I make a mistake.”

“So when the truth is out, is out,” Natasha and Rose sang. “We're just beginning. And not a sound, all eyes are staring down. We spin the bottle round and round and round and round.”

“Truth!”New Directions sang as they joined in.

“Last kiss on the tip of your lips, were they his?” Claude sang.

“Talk talk," New Directions sang.

“Was your heart beat beating?” Claude sang.

“Dare!”New Directions sang.

“Time's up, are you ready or not?”Bella sang

“T-t-talk,”New Directions sang.

“So don't stop when you get that feeling now, now,”Bella sang.

“Was your heart beat beating now, now?”Claude and Bella sang.

“It’s just a game,”Ana sang.

“I'm ready, so ready,” Nicole sang. “So take me on, so take me on. You're staring, I'm so trapped. It's on and on and on and on.”

“Truth!”New Directions sang as they joined in.

“Last kiss on the tip of your lips, were they his?”Claude sang.

“Talk talk,”New Directions sang.

“Was your heart beat beating?” Claude sang.

“Dare!”New Directions sang.

“It’s just a game,”Hallie and Jaxon sang.
